Voyager has been a Certified Carbon Neutral Company since February 2007. For every mile you travel with us we offset the carbon emissions that result from your journey. We do this through the carbon Neutral Company, who Invest in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and forestry projects.

With the consensus of opinion behind the certainty of climate change we have decided to investigate our own position with regard to greenhouse-gas emissions.
For a long time now the chauffeur business has been, inevitably, a high producer of carbon. Although most of our cars run on diesel, (which increases the economy per mile over their petrol equivalents), we have looked into the possibility of doing something more to address our pollution and have decided that becoming CarbonNeutral should be the first step.
We researched into different ways of doing this and into which reputable organisations to go through - particularly ones with good experience in our industry. We have chosen the CarbonNeutral Company who are a long established offset business with a number of large and familiar names on their books. These include: Volvo, Honda and Avis. The CarbonNeutral Company scientifically calculates all the carbon produced in our business based on thorough data collection from the vehicles and from the office space we use.
They then bill us for our total corporate carbon-footprint and invest that money into:
- U.K. based forestry projects
- Renewable energy schemes - mainly solar and wind technologies
- Energy-efficiency projects - looking at ways of cutting the waste in the production of energy.
It is possible to choose one or more of these causes and we have chosen to have a spread portfolio of all three.
As our investment is in both certified (government approved) and voluntary (independent) projects, we are helping small as well as headline-catching energy schemes.
It is our intention to review our position on an ongoing basis and are looking for further improvements we can make in our overall carbon reduction. We feel that doing nothing is no longer acceptable and hope that our commitment meets with your support and approval.
